I'm a software engineer living in the Portland, Oregon metro area. I started my journey over 10 years ago as a hobbyist tinkering mainly with Linux, Python, and JavaScript. Since then I've worked on numerous web applications and infrastructure stacks at several different companies; while continuing to experiment with new technology, and pursuing personal projects. I'm enthusiastic about free and open source software, and love working with and around people who feel the same way.

When I'm not programming I'm most likely enjoying time with my wife and kids, lifting weights, reading old sci-fi and fantasy literature, or hiking around the great PNW.
